Day for Daniel: Friday 30 October 2009
View the Day for Daniel video news release featuring interviews with AFP Commissioner Tony Negus, Terri and Bindi Irwin and Bruce and Denise Morcombe.
An initative of the Daniel Morcombe Foundation, Day for Daniel, Friday 30 October, is all about child safety.
This year the Australian Federal Police has partnered with the Daniel Morcombe Foundation to draw a national focus for Day for Daniel by producing a video news release.
We are encouraging everyone to participate in the Day for Daniel event. We have engaged the support of Australia Zoo's Terri, Bindi and Robert Irwin who are long time supporters of the Daniel Morcombe Foundation to raise awareness and help educate children about key child protection and safety messages.
Daniel Morcombe was abducted in December 2003 at the age of 13. He was waiting for the bus. His parents, Bruce and Denise, established the Daniel Morcombe Foundation to educate children and parents about personal safety and harm prevention - as well as continuing the search for Daniel.
