Police Consultative Group on Missing Persons
The Police Consultative Group on Missing Persons (PCGMP) was established in 1995. Its aim is to develop, maintain and review national policy and procedures in relation to missing persons ensuring consistency in response to missing persons issues across Australia. The PCGMP also provides a national forum to deal with issues specific to police missing persons services.
Membership of the PCGMP is made up of representatives from Police Missing Persons Units in each State and Territory. The National Missing Persons Coordination Centre provides secretariat and coordination support, as well as coordination of activities resulting from decisions made by the Group. Meetings are held twice a year and provide an opportunity to share information and build relationships between State and Territory partners.
