Summer of Hope

Summer of Hope

For many Australian families who have a loved one on the missing persons register, it is 'hope' which helps them get through each day, 'hope' that is amplified during anniversaries and holidays. It is this ‘hope’ that also inspires the ‘Summer of Hope’ campaign.

The National Missing Persons Coordination Centre (NMPCC), in partnership with Chemist Warehouse, will profile a series of long-term missing persons, in the hope of reuniting them with their friends and families this holiday season. Over the summer period you will see a weekly profile on the AFP Facebook page, and monthly features in Chemist Warehouse catalogues and stores around the country.

We encourage everyone to take the time to look through the profiles of missing persons, and share this information with your social network - you or someone you know may have information that could help to reunite families this summer. Please view the poster below featuring all of the Summer of Hope campaign profiles.

We also encourage anyone who may be estranged from their loved ones to make contact this Christmas. Going missing is not a crime and making contact does not mean you will need to return home.

NMPCC and Chemist Warehouse share the belief that ‘Every Second Counts’ when it comes to locating missing persons. Together we can make a difference.
