Zedric Basil Woolley

Zedric Basil Woolley of Franklin was last seen on 8 April 2012 in Huonville, Tasmania. Zedric was aged 81 at the time. 

His vehicle, a blue 2011 Hyundai hatch back was found on a bush track between Lightwood Creek Road and Watsons Road on 14 April 2012.

Ivan Zulj was last seen at Burnie on 4 or 5 June 2011. 

Ivan’s vehicle, a Honda sedan, was located at North Terrace Burnie on 9 June 2011 however there was no sign of Ivan. 

Investigations to date have not located Ivan and he remains a missing person. 

At time of his disappearance, Ivan was aged 70 years and believed to be wearing grey track pants and an overcoat.

Rachel Funari

American National Rachel Funari, then 35, had been living in Victoria, and was last seen around 3.30pm on Thursday 3 March 2011 in a shack at the end of Adventure Bay Road, Bruny Island, Tasmania.

Earlier that day she was reported to have discussed walking the Fluted Cape Walking Track while on Bruny Island.

Rachel had arrived in Tasmania only two days prior to her last sighting, and had been travelling around with a medium sized black backpack and small tent bag.

Enquiries have identified several places visited by Rachel before she was reported missing, the last being Bruny Island. She failed to board her return flight to Melbourne on Tuesday, 8 March 2011.

Her backpack, tent and belongings were located at the shack on Bruny Island on Sunday 13 March 2011. Police searches of the area failed to find any further sign of Rachel.

There are grave fears for the safety and welfare of Rachel.

Joao De Ornelas

Joao De Ornelas, then aged 76, was last seen at Tahunie Airwalk, Geeveston, Tasmania on 3 March 2010 at approximately 2pm. 

A tourist from Sydney, NSW, he wandered off from his bus tour group and did not return. Joao was on the bus trip with his wife and a family friend.

He is described as wearing navy blue shorts, blue shirt, blue vest and blue peaked cap.

Nicola (Nick) Sallese

Nicola (Nick) Sallese

Nicola (Nick) Sallese has not been seen since 17 November 2008. He is believed to have been travelling in his silver Toyota Camry sedan FH2973 along the main street in Sheffield, Tasmania. This vehicle has accident damage to the vehicle’s left hand side, and has a small ‘nodding’ brown dog on the rear parcel shelf. Both Nicola Sallese and the vehicle have not been seen since 17 November 2008.

Nicola has dementia and last contacted his family on 16 November 2008. Despite extensive searching, including air searches, there has been no trace of the missing person.

Whilst Nicola was known to frequent the areas around Sheffield, and Devonport, possible sightings have been reported all over Tasmania. It is also believed that he may have attempted to drive to Launceston or Hobart for personal reasons.

Nicola is described as approximately 150cms tall, of stocky build with closely cropped white hair. The top of his head is bald and he has a well maintained white moustache. He is of Italian decent and has an accent. He was most likely wearing a blue driving cap and a green jumper.

Nicola’s family continue to hope that he will one day be found and they can know what happened to their beloved father and grandfather.

Helen Karel Munnings

Helen Karel Munnings

Helen Karel Munnings was last seen alive shortly after 4pm on 23 July 2008 in the vicinity of Centrelink, Marine Terrace, Burnie. 

In June 2012 Coroner Robert Pearce declared her to be deceased, having died on or about 23 July 2008 in or near Burnie.  No finding could be made about how or why she died or whether any person contributed to the cause of her death.  

She was aged twenty at the time of her death.

Police are offering a $500,000 reward for information as to the circumstances surrounding her death and the location of her remains. The investigation remains open.
